keep on advertising the vehicle

sold.   Placing a
classified advertisement carries
the inherent risk that what you are
offering will not sell.  All Harley
sales cannot control buyer
conduct or market conditions and
makes no warranty as to when, or
if, any given vehicle will sell.  We do

Be suspicious of all offers. Verify
the buyer's address and phone
number. Watch out for individuals
that only communicate via e-mail.
Take precautions when dealing
with individuals/companies from
outside your own country.
Don't accept a cashier/certified
checks that are over the price of
your vehicle.
You should verify all checks by
calling the issuing bank.   Some fake checks
can clear your bank account, however they
are counterfeit.   With a counterfeit check it
can take 4 to 6 weeks to find out the check is
not real.  Do not
assume that because your bank
has cashed the check, it is a
legitimate check. Cashier checks
may take up to 30 days to
determine if they are legitimate.  
Never release the vehicle before
the check has cleared.  Even if they clear
they still can be counterfeit the best is to call
the bank who issued the check.
Be cautious if you are requested
to handle a transaction through a
wire transfer NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA
WESTERN UNION, MONEY GRAM or any other
wire service - anyone who asks you to do so
is a scammer..  Never take more
money for the vehicle and wire
them the rest of the money.
Use a trusted and well known
escrow service like escrow.com.
Watch out for fake escrow
companies.   Above all watch out for a
companies that offer a 90 day guarantee or
you get your money back anyone who does
offer that is a scammer and no one can give
a 90 day guarantee on a sale and also watch
